Job summary

HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Corporate Banking Manager (IMM) to lead a portfolio of international mid-market clients. You will expand relationships through lending products, debt instruments and comprehensive banking solutions, supported by credit and product teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in commercial banking, strong credit evaluation, and willingness to travel within Malaysia. CCP accreditation is a plus, and excellent communication is essential for client engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial banking experience.
• Solid credit evaluation and risk assessment skills.
• CCP (Certified Credit Professional) accreditation is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing and growing a portfolio of existing IMM corporate clients.
• Prospecting and developing new IMM corporate relationships.
• Providing total customer solutions across banking products and services.
• Cross-selling Treasury, Payments, Cash Management, and Trade Services with product support.
• Collaborating with credit analysts to prepare credit proposals within risk parameters.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risk across client lifecycle.
• Adhere to HSBC Standards and local procedures and report breaches.

Corporate Banking Manager (IMM)

Principal Responsibilities

• Managing and growing a portfolio of existing International mid-market (“IMM”) corporate clients. Identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network.
• Prospecting and developing new IMM corporate relationships with funding requirements through lending products and debt instruments.
• Providing total customer solutions to the portfolio of clients.
• Cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services including Treasury, Payments and Cash Management, and Trade Services with support from product specialists.
• Work with credit analysts to prepare credit proposals within the risk parameters and guidelines.
• Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk HSBC Standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures

Requirements

• A degree holder with at least 3-5 years of commercial banking experience.
• Sound lending experience in commercial banking with exposure in corporate lending and trade services.
• Possess strong credit evaluation, good marketing and sales management skills.
• CCP (Certified Credit Professional) accreditation is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Willing to travel to Region South of Malaysia for client and internal meetings.
