Job summary

Shopee Malaysia is seeking a proactive Corporate Affairs and Project Management professional to coordinate strategic initiatives across Government Affairs, Corporate Communications and regional teams. You will craft communications, manage timelines, and support events and partnerships.

The role emphasizes strong written communication, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to deliver clear status updates while maintaining brand messaging across Malaysian markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing or related field.
• At least 2 years in corporate communications, PR, project management, stakeholder engagement or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to tailor materials for audiences.
• Proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides; able to prepare clear presentations.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders across teams.
• Analytical and solution-oriented; track progress and follow through on actions.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and end-to-end execution of strategic Corporate Affairs projects and government-related initiatives.
• Act as central coordinator across Government Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Corporate Communications, Business Development, Legal and regional teams.
• Develop project plans, timelines, action trackers, briefing materials and status updates.
• Coordinate deliverables, identify risks and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
• Support preparation of proposals and presentations for strategic partnerships and external collaborations.
• Assist with planning and delivery of events, programmes and stakeholder engagements, including logistics, branding, content and communications.
• Track project outcomes and prepare post-project reports with learnings and recommendations.
• Provide regular updates to management on project progress, challenges and results.
• Support development and execution of communications plans to strengthen Shopee’s reputation in Malaysia.
• Draft and coordinate press releases, media responses, key messages, briefing notes, talking points, speeches and internal communications.
• Localise regional narratives for the Malaysian market; assist media engagement and outreach.
• Monitor media coverage and flag opportunities or issues; support storytelling around Shopee’s business and initiatives.
