Job summary

AT&S AUSTRIA TECHNOLOGIE & SYSTEMTECHNIK (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks a Core Sourcing Specialist Engineering to drive supplier quality systems and development, ensuring end-to-end quality for external suppliers and timely delivery of compliant goods to AT&S.

The role requires a engineering degree with 1–3 years in related industry, strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP/MSA/FMEA, and capability to work with cross-functional teams to improve supplier performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experiences in related industry would be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of core supplier sound quality system setup and continuous supplier development to meet higher quality requirements.
• Periodically evaluate supplier quality performance and lead improvement agenda.
• Responsible for supplier outgoing quality assurance and OTD fulfilment.
• Support core sourcing commercial team to achieve supplier development targets, especially in New supplier/products introduction, Cost reduction, Lead time optimization, Supplier capex projects.

Job description

Core Sourcing Specialist Engineering is responsible for quality management & development of external suppliers. The purpose is to help external suppliers improve the compliance of quality requirements, keep stability in terms of quality performance and have capability to delivering satisfied goods to AT&S. This ultimately serves needs of core sourcing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of core supplier sound quality system setup and continuous supplier development to meet higher quality requirements or specific quality needs from end customer/substrate plants.

Periodically evaluate supplier quality performance, define the gap and lead improvement agenda from quality perspective.

Responsible for supplier outgoing quality assurance and OTD fulfilment. Trouble shooting with multi-functional team when excursion/non conformity happens.

Support core sourcing commercial team to achieve supplier development & management targets, especially in the fields of:

New supplier/products introduction

Cost reduction (MCP ideas realization)

Lead time optimization

Supplier capex project/ capacity expansion

Lead and coordinate with AT&S other functions (TDI/SQE/Plant sourcing etc.) if related to core suppliers for specific topics, especially in the fields of:

Customer complains

Yield improvement

Maintain the relationship between AT&S and external suppliers and cultivate commercial consciousness.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or a comparable discipline.

Minimum 1 to 3 years of experiences in related industry would be preferred.

Skill and Competency Requirements:

Have broad experiences in various quality standards and other international management systems such as ISO9001 ISO14001, ISO18001 and ISO/TS16949.

Have exposure in various automotive core tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA,FMEA and SPCHave strong analytical and social skills.

Able to represent the company to the respective external organizations with good presentation skills.

Have a certain level of commercial common sense.

Good knowledge in statistical and quality tools.

Able to work under pressure.

Strong applications in computer software such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
