Job summary

EPF Malaysia seeks a Core Support specialist to ensure stability, availability and performance of core business applications. You will investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with business users, development teams, and vendors to deliver system improvements.

The role requires strong Front End or Back End expertise, SQL, and experience with monitoring tools. You will support deployments, perform incident management, and work after hours when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years in application or production support for enterprise systems.
• Experience with core banking or mission‑critical applications preferred.
• Strong Front End or Back End troubleshooting, SQL, and log analysis.
• Familiarity with ITIL 4 practices and ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and production support for core business systems to ensure stability, availability and performance.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Support maintenance, deployment, change implementation and production releases.
• Analyze logs, database records and batch outputs to diagnose issues and support resolutions.
• Collaborate with business users, development, infrastructure teams and vendors to deliver improvements.
• Provide after‑hours production support including standby duties as needed.
• Manage incidents, problems, service requests and changes per SLAs and processes.
• Maintain documentation, guides and operational procedures; assist in disaster recovery and governance activities.
