Job summary

SK Nexilis Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Slitting Machine Operator for its copper foil production line in Malaysia. The role involves setting up and operating slitting equipment to convert large copper foil rolls into narrower widths, ensuring adherence to dimensional and surface quality standards for PCBs and batteries.

The ideal candidate has a technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technology, with experience on slitting or converting machines, and

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Experience operating slitting, rewinding, or converting machines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to read technical drawings and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• Familiar with cleanroom protocols and ESD safety is a plus.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to speak fluently in Korean is an added advantage.
• Possess forklift license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines to cut large rolls of copper foil into narrower widths according to specifications.
• Adjust blade spacing, tension, and speed to ensure precise slitting and minimal material waste.
• Monitor machine performance and inspect foil for defects such as wrinkles, tears, or uneven edges.
• Perform routine maintenance on slitting equipment, including blade replacement and lubrication.
• Document production data, including roll dimensions, lot numbers, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with quality control and warehouse teams to ensure proper labeling and packaging of finished rolls.
• Follow safety protocols when handling sharp tools, rotating machinery, and conductive materials.
