Job summary

SK Nexilis Malaysia seeks an Electroplating Technician for our copper foil production facility. You will operate, monitor and maintain electroplating equipment to deposit copper onto rotating drums, ensuring consistent quality and process stability.

The role requires a technical diploma or certificate in Chemical Engineering or Electromechanical Technology, experience in electroplating or metal finishing, and familiarity with DC power systems, chemical handling and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certificate in Chemical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or related field.
• Experience in electroplating, metal finishing, or chemical process operations preferred.
• Familiar with DC power systems, chemical handling, and industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electroplating machinery used in the production of electrodeposited copper foil.
• Prepare and maintain electrolyte baths, ensuring correct chemical composition and temperature.
• Inspect and clean cathode drums, anode plates, and plating tanks to ensure optimal deposition quality.
• Adjust plating parameters (current density, bath flow rate, drum speed) to meet foil thickness and surface finish specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on rectifiers, pumps, filters, and plating lines.
• Record process data and report deviations or equipment malfunctions.
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating high-voltage equipment.
