Job summary

Malaysian Bar is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to support lawyers across conveyancing transactions in Kuala Lumpur. You will draft SPA and loan documentation, monitor files from start to finish, and liaise with clients, banks, developers, and authorities to ensure timely completion.

The role requires 1–2 years of conveyancing experience, strong communication, organization, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in conveyancing matters, including Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA) and loan documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal professionally with clients, bankers, solicitors, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Well-organised with strong administrative, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to producing accurate work.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Possess good analytical thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the firm's lawyers in all aspects of conveyancing transactions, including the preparation of Sale and Purchase Agreements, loan documentation, perfection matters, and related legal documentation.
• Manage and monitor conveyancing files from commencement through to completion, ensuring each matter progresses efficiently and within the required timelines.
• Communicate and liaise with clients, financial institutions, developers, property agents, government authorities, and other relevant parties to facilitate the smooth completion of transactions.
• Draft, prepare, and process conveyancing documents and correspondence in accordance with legal requirements and the firm's standards.
• Handle various conveyancing matters, including sub-sale transactions, perfection of transfer, perfection of charge, refinancing matters, and other related conveyancing work.
• Ensure all documentation is properly maintained, filed, and updated, and that statutory deadlines and completion dates are met.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, bankers, developers, and business associates by providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Carry out general administrative and clerical duties related to the conveyancing department as assigned from time to time.
