Job summary

A construction firm in Malaysia seeks a Quantity Surveyor to oversee pre- and post-contract processes. Responsibilities include preparing contract documents, budgeting, and evaluating sub-contractors' bids. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in relevant fields along with 1-2 years of experience in property development and construction. Job description
  • To take charge of Pre-Contracts and Post Contracts.
  • To prepare contract documents.
  • To plan, monitor and supervise for Pre-Contracts and Post-Contracts.
  • To prepare pre-project budget and regularly review and update management on the budget cost during implementation of the project to ensure cost within budget for the project.
  • To prepare work done certificate to sub-contractors in accordance to work by consultant.
  • To evaluate sub-contractors bid and analyse costing before recommendation to award job to subcontractors.
  • T prepare an submission of interim progress claim and ensure work been certified timely and accurately by client/ main contractor through site valuation.
  • To attend site visit and site meeting as and when required by management.
  • To attend to site measurement, taking off quantity, liasise with consultants and sub-con, source for quotation and etc.
  • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
  • Select and source construction materials.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Building, Construction or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field in property development and construction.
  • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
  • Need knowledge AutoCAD 3D /2D.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Preferably candidates who can speak Mandarin.
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
