Job summary

Redcliffe Production Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on video creator who can take a concept from idea to published clip, shooting, editing, and thumbnail design while keeping podcast episodes running smoothly from scheduling through handoff.

This is a doer role with most time behind the camera or editing timeline, collaborating with on-camera talent and guests. Based in Malaysia, you will attend shoots in person and work with Mandarin- and English-speaking talent.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on video shooting and editing experience.
• Portfolio or reel required - this matters more than your CV.
• Proficient with Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci or similar.
• Able to design on-brand thumbnails/graphics in Photoshop or Canva.

Responsibilities

• Shoot short-form and long-form video with talent and guests, coordinating scheduling, call sheets, and shoot-day logistics.
• Set up lighting, audio, and framing for talking-head and interview formats; maintain consistent quality.
• Label and transfer all raw footage before leaving the location.
• Edit short-form and long-form video: cuts, captions, subtitles, b-roll, motion graphics, and podcast edits.
• Design thumbnails and supporting graphics within the Redcliffe visual identity.
• Cut short-form clips from approved long-form edits, including podcast highlights.
• Coordinate episode briefs and asset creation with the team, and log lessons after each episode to refine the SOP.

We are looking for a hands‑on video creator who can carry an idea from concept to published clip - shooting it, editing it, and designing the thumbnail - while also keeping our podcast episodes running smoothly from scheduling through to final handoff. You will work directly with our on-camera talent and support guest episodes for our long‑form shows. This is a doer role: most of your week is spent behind a camera or in an editing timeline, with real ownership of what goes out.

Key responsibilities

Shoot short-form and long-form video with on-camera talent and guests, including podcast episodes - coordinating scheduling, call sheets, and shoot-day logistics so every session runs on time.

Set up lighting, audio, and framing for talking-head and interview formats; keep technical quality consistent.

Label and transfer all raw footage before leaving the location - every time, no exceptions.

Edit short-form and long-form video: cuts, captions, subtitles, b-roll, motion graphics, and sound - including full podcast episode edits and handoffs for distribution.

Design thumbnails and supporting graphics within the Redcliffe visual identity.

Cut short-form clips from approved long-form edits, including podcast highlight clips.

Coordinate episode briefs and asset creation with the team, and log lessons after each episode to help refine the production SOP.

About you

1-3 years of hands-on experience shooting and editing video (portfolio or reel required - this matters more than your CV).

Confident with a professional editing workflow (Premiere Pro / CapCut / DaVinci or similar) and basic motion graphics.

Comfortable operating camera, audio, and lighting on solo or small-crew shoots.

Able to design clean, on-brand graphics (Photoshop / Canva).

Organised enough to run a production schedule and coordinate multiple people without being chased.

Based in Malaysia and able to attend shoots in person; comfortable working with Mandarin- and English-speaking talent.
