Job summary

Places Malaysia is an independent media exploring Malaysia's hidden gems. This internship role as Content Creator offers hands-on experience capturing photos and videos, curating social content, and sharing travel experiences across platforms. The hybrid role involves events and shoots with weekly meetups in Petaling Jaya.

You will work closely with the founders to learn the ins and outs of the business and develop storytelling, writing, and editing skills while exploring Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Strong visual storytelling skills, including photography and videography.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for exploring and discovering new places in Malaysia.
• Must be based in the Klang Valley area.
• Have your own transport and be able to drive around the Klang Valley area.
• Experience with copywriting, photo and video production/ editing (especially mobile content - Instagram & TikTok) will be a plus.

Role Description

This is an internship role as a Content Creator at Places Malaysia. You will be responsible for creating and curating content for our social media platforms, including taking photos and videos. You will have the opportunity to explore and discover new places in Malaysia and share your experiences with our audience. This is a hybrid role, where most of your time will be spent going around for events and shoots and meeting with the team once a week at Petaling Jaya.
