Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive Social Media Assistant to support marketing initiatives and grow engagement across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and RedNote. You will help plan content, shoot short videos, and edit materials for posting.

The role requires hands-on content creation, posting scheduling, audience interaction, and staying current with platform trends. Travel to selected outlets in Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• At least SPM/STPM/Diploma.
• Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
• Familiar with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and RedNote; RedNote experience is a plus.
• Good communication skills; able to engage with audiences; Mandarin speaking preferred.
• Basic photography and video editing knowledge.
• Willing to travel to selected outlets and states in Malaysia.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and bring innovative ideas.

1. To assist with the planning of marketing strategies to help drive traffic and engagement to social media channels.
2. To create content for social media platform; Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & RedNote (Xiaohongshu).
3. Capable of shooting, creating video and editing for social media posting.
4. Assist in managing our social media accounts by scheduling posts and monitoring audience engagement.
5. Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, tools and technologies to keep our content fresh and engaging.
6. Regularly monitor competitor social media sites and create competitor analysis reports.
7. To assist with social media performance reports and analysis.

Requirements :

1. Candidate must possess at least SPM/STPM/Diploma.
2. Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
3. Understand and familiar with popular social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & RedNote). Familiarity and proven experience with RedNote platform is an added advantage.
4. Good communication skills and enjoy interacting with people on the ground to create engaging digital content. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
5. Basic knowledge of taking photos and video editing tools.
6. Must be willing to travel to selected outlets and states in Malaysia.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and is eager to bring innovative ideas.
