GLOCOMP Systems (M) SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Presales Consultant to architect data centre and AI infrastructure solutions for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will design, position, and deliver end-to-end ICT architectures spanning servers, storage, virtualization, and GPU AI solutions.

The role requires strong customer engagement, hands-on demo leadership, and expertise across Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud platforms, and AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, computer engineering, cloud computing, data centre engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Presales, Solution Architect, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Consultant, or Technical Consultant role.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise server, storage, virtualization, backup/recovery, DR, and data centre networking.
• Good understanding of private, hybrid, and public cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiar with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of customer's business and technology needs.
• Translate needs and requirements into comprehensive and competitive solutions, including Solution Design, Architecture, BOM, and Presentation.
• Support RFP/RFI/RFQ technical responses and compliance documentation.
• Lead hands-on showcase (POC, Demo) when required.
• Participate in Growth and Customer Success Initiatives and provide proactive solution advisory support.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Presales Consultant specializing in Data Centre, and AI Infrastructure solutions. This role is responsible for designing, positioning, and delivering end-to-end ICT infrastructure architectures encompassing servers, storage, virtualization, container platforms, backup and disaster recovery, data center networking, cloud platforms, and NVIDIA GPU/AI solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will work closely with customers, sales teams, technology partners, and vendors to architect and position end-to-end data center and AI infrastructure solutions. This role requires a good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, container platforms, backup and disaster recovery, networking, cloud technologies, and AI/GPU architecture. Familiarity with operating systems, Kubernetes, virtualization, hybrid cloud environments, cybersecurity best practices, and modern infrastructure design principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop an in-depth understanding of customer's business and technology needs and requirements

Translate needs and requirements into comprehensive and competitive solutions, which include preparation of Solution Design and Architecture, Solution Brief, Solution Proposal, Bill of Material and Solution Presentation.

Support RFP/RFI/RFQ technical responses and compliance documentation

For engagement that requires showcase solutions capability, individual is required to lead and perform hands-on showcase (e.g. POC, Demo).

Participating in Growth and Customer Success Initiatives (GCSI).

Provide proactive solution advisory support to sales, products and marketing team

Ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor's degree or master's in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, Data Centre Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a Presales, Solution Architect, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Consultant, or Technical Consultant role.

Strong knowledge and experience in enterprise server, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and data centre networking.

Good understanding of private cloud, hybrid cloud, and public cloud architectures, including platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

Familiar with container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker

Knowledge of AI infrastructure, including GPU-accelerated computing, NVIDIA technologies, high-performance networking, and storage architectures for AI and machine learning workloads.

Familiar with GPU-accelerated AI infrastructure on Kubernetes or OpenShift environments, including GPU scheduling, monitoring, and resource management.

Knowledge with AI-optimized storage solutions such as parallel file systems or distributed storage platforms

Knowledge of high-speed networking for AI clusters, Ethernet and InfiniBand

Exposure to infrastructure automation, orchestration is desirable.

Candidates with the following certifications will have an added advantage:

o NVIDIA Certified Professional or AI Infrastructure certifications

o VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Red Hat certifications

o Cloud certifications (AWS Certified, Microsoft Azure Certified, Google Cloud Certified)

o Vendor certifications such as Cisco, Huawei, Dell, NetApp, Quantum, WEKA, VAST, or equivalent

o Backup and disaster recovery (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, Veritas, Rubrik)

o ITIL Foundation

Excellent client-facing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
