Job summary

Malamin Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible Construction Supervisor to oversee daily mining-site construction activities in Bukit Kachi, Sintok, Kedah. The role involves supervising site workers, coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety and compliance with project requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with strong leadership and reading of drawings.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant site supervision experience.
• Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology or related field.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical specs.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the mining site
• Monitor site progress to ensure work meets schedules, drawings, specs and quality standards
• Coordinate and assign tasks to site workers, subcontractors and contractors
• Ensure all activities comply with safety requirements and site regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify issues or safety hazards
• Monitor use of materials, tools, equipment and manpower for efficient operations
• Prepare daily site progress reports and update management on status, delays and issues
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers and others to resolve site-related problems
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe construction site
• Perform other site-related duties as assigned by management

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site workers, coordinating construction activities, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that all works are carried out safely and according to project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the mining site
• Monitor site progress to ensure that work is completed according to project schedules, drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Coordinate and assign tasks to site workers, subcontractors, and contractors
• Ensure all construction activities comply with workplace safety requirements and site regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify construction issues, defects, or potential safety hazards
• Monitor the use of construction materials, tools, equipment, and manpower to ensure efficient site operations
• Prepare daily site progress reports and update management on project status, delays, and issues
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties to resolve site-related problems
• Ensure the construction site is maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition
• Perform other site-related duties as assigned by management

About you

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision or a similar position
• Certificate, Diploma, or other relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field is an advantage
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site operations, and workplace safety practices
• Ability to supervise workers, coordinate contractors, and manage daily site activities effectively
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications
• Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Responsible, disciplined, proactive, and able to work independently
• Willing to work at Bukit Kachi Mining Site, Sintok, Kedah
• Experience in mining, quarry, earthworks, roadworks, drainage, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage
