Job summary

Soonhup Licheng is seeking a capable Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily activities at the job site in Malaysia. The role involves planning and supervising concreting, reinforcement, and formwork, ensuring workmanship, checking conditions, levels, and reinforcement prior to casting, and coordinating deliveries, manpower and subcontractors.

The candidate should have solid 5+ years of on-site experience, read drawings, and be familiar with concrete testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction site experience.
• Familiar with concrete testing such as slump test and cube test will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand drawings.
• Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at site.
• Plan and monitor concreting works, including preparation, casting, compaction, finishing and curing.
• Supervise reinforcement, formwork and concrete works to ensure proper workmanship.
• Check site conditions, dimensions, levels and reinforcement before concrete casting.
• Coordinate concrete deliveries, manpower, equipment and subcontractors.
• Monitor concrete pouring and ensure proper vibration/compaction and finishing.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and report any issues, delays or defects to the Project Manager/Site Manager.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, workers and other site teams.
• Identify construction problems and assist in resolving site issues promptly.

• Familiar with concrete testing such as slump test and cube test will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site coordination and safety requirements.
• Able to manage workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field will be an advantage.
