Job summary

BINARY RELIANCE (SARAWAK) SDN BHD in Malaysia invites experienced engineers to join our project-based team. The role focuses on leading daily construction and fabrication activities, ensuring alignment with approved plans, schedules and QA/QC requirements across disciplines.

The candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering, 10–15 years of construction experience in oil & gas or EPC environments, and offshore safety certification. On-site work with rigorous HSE standards is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity is preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years’ construction experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, offshore fabrication or EPC construction exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily construction/fabrication activities and supervisors across assigned disciplines.
• Implement approved construction execution plans, procedures and work sequence.
• Ensure compliance with HSE plan, PTW, JSA and site requirements.
• Translate project schedules into daily/weekly construction priorities and monitor productivity.
• Optimise manpower, machinery, lifting equipment, tools and work fronts.
• Ensure AFC drawings, engineering information and materials are available for construction.
• Coordinate Structural, Mechanical, Piping, E&I, Painting, Lifting and related disciplines.
• Supervise subcontractor activities and performance.
• Ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, ITPs and QA/QC requirements.
• Coordinate SIMOPS, interfaces, inspections and daily progress reporting.
• Identify and resolve access, crane, material, manpower, engineering and interface constraints.
• Drive system completion, punch clearance and handover readiness.
• Support Client/PMC inspections and construction interface.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity is preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years’ construction experience, with significant Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, offshore fabrication or EPC construction exposure.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodology, lifting, fabrication, erection, piping/mechanical works, HSE, QA/QC and productivity control.
• BOSIET/FOET or equivalent offshore safety certification may be required for offshore assignments.
