Job summary

KEJURUTERAAN RIAZ SDN. BHD. seeks a qualified Safety & Health Officer to lead on-site safety management for construction projects in Malaysia. The role requires implementing OSH policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring DOSH/JKKP and OSHA compliance.

You will perform inspections, lead toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and coordinate with project teams to drive a proactive safety culture across sites and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• Registered/competent SHO with DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSH legislation, DOSH/JKKP requirements, HIRARC, risk assessment, and site safety practices.
• Experience in safety inspections, audits, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies at the project site.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP, OSHA and other safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Review HIRARC/risk assessments and recommend controls.
• Monitor PPE usage and safety procedures for workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with project team and subcontractors on safety matters.
• Maintain safety records, documentation, and registers.
• Promote a strong safety culture and conduct site safety audits.
