Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a responsible Procurement Officer to support a construction project in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. The role involves sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, coordinating suppliers, and maintaining procurement records to support the project team.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or bachelor’s in procurement or related field with at least 2 years of experience in construction or building materials procurement. On-site work in Tampin is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in construction, engineering, M&E, industrial projects, or building materials procurement is advantageous.
• Familiar with supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase orders, and delivery coordination.
• Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic procurement documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Mandarin communication skills will be an added advantage.
• Willing to work at the project site in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and support cost control.
• Prepare purchase orders (PO) and maintain proper procurement documentation and records.
• Coordinate with suppliers and follow up on material availability, delivery schedules, and lead times.
• Work closely with project, engineering, site, and commercial teams to understand purchasing requirements.
• Source and develop reliable local suppliers and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Monitor orders and ensure materials and equipment are delivered to the project site on time.
• Assist in resolving supplier, delivery, pricing, and material-related issues.
