Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a purchasing/administrative professional in Klang to handle daily purchasing activities, source suppliers, and manage orders with timely delivery of materials.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years’ experience, preferably in construction. Strong communication, negotiation, and MS Office skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of working experience in purchasing or administrative roles.
• Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Civil & Structural (C&S) materials and construction terminology is required.
• Familiar with construction materials, specifications, and supplier sourcing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Responsible, organised, and able to work independently.
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing activities and prepare Purchase Orders (PO).
• Source new suppliers and obtain quotations.
• Compare quotations and negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Follow up on purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with site personnel, project team, and suppliers regarding material requirements.
• Maintain purchasing records and proper documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in material planning when required.
• Perform general administrative duties and filing.
