Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support sourcing, purchasing, receiving, storage and availability of construction materials, tools and supplies. You will work with project and site teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records.

The role requires 1–2 years in procurement and strong Excel/communication skills. Travel to sites or warehouses may be required, with duties assigned by the Procurement/Materials Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, Diploma, or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of procurement, purchasing, materials management or related field experience.
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and supplier coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, tools, equipment and project supplies.
• Obtain quotations and prepare quotation comparisons for review.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders and Requisitions.
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules and outstanding orders.
• Track material orders to ensure timely delivery to warehouses or sites.
• Receive and check delivered materials against orders and specifications.
• Maintain records of purchases, supplier information and delivery status.
• Support supplier evaluation and maintain supplier database.
• Coordinate with Accounts/Finance on invoices and payment documents.
• Ensure procurement activities align with budgets and project requirements.
