Job summary

CNS Construction Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a responsible and organised individual to oversee day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring materials arrive on time and within budget.

You will manage the full purchasing cycle, source suppliers, obtain quotes, issue and follow up on purchase orders, and coordinate with project and site teams to align deliveries with schedules while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in procurement, business administration, construction management or related field.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement is an advantage.
• Experience in construction materials and industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle full purchasing process from material requests to PO issuance.
• Source suppliers for construction materials, equipment and services.
• Request and compare quotations to obtain competitive pricing.
• Prepare, issue and follow up on Purchase Orders.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery per project requirements.
• Coordinate with project and site teams on material needs and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, delivery and discrepancies.
• Maintain records of quotations, POs, invoices and delivery documents.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties related to procurement when required.
