Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Construction Engineer to support topside refurbishment and life extension for an FPSO project in Malaysia. You will coordinate construction works, review drawings, liaise with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning and Commissioning to deliver safe, on-time execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least five years in offshore oil & gas, with experience on two offshore projects; FPSO experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, Naval Architecture or related).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas projects involving topsides, FPSO, FPU, platform fabrication, refurbishment, or brownfield modifications.
  • Experience on at least two offshore oil & gas projects.
  • FPSO project experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, installation, structural steel works, welding and NDT activities.
  • Familiar with Mechanical Completion, system handover and commissioning processes.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Safety-focused in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review construction drawings, work packs, method statements and technical documentation.
  • Liaise with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Procurement and Commissioning to resolve issues.
  • Monitor progress, manpower utilization, productivity and milestones.
  • Manage technical queries, field changes and construction deviations as needed.
  • Support inspection, testing, mechanical completion and handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and HSE regulations.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation to minimize schedule and cost impacts.

  • Manage technical queries, field changes, and construction deviations when required.

  • Support inspection, testing, mechanical completion, and system handover activities.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, classification standards, and HSE regulations.

  • Identify construction risks and recommend mitigation measures to minimize schedule and cost impacts.


Requirements
