Job summary

CELESTA L is seeking a seasoned Technical Coordinator to lead the FPSO detailed engineering coordination across multiple disciplines in offshore projects. You will manage interfaces between engineering teams and project management to prevent delays and ensure alignment with schedules and budgets.

The role requires a strong engineering background with at least 10 years in oil & gas, FPSO experience preferred, and a proven track record in design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical audits.

We're Hiring a Technical Coordinator!

We're looking for an experienced Technical Coordinator with a strong engineering background to play a key role in the technical coordination of an FPSO project, managing interfaces between discipline engineering teams and project management.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead technical coordination efforts for the FPSO detailed engineering phase, ensuring alignment across all engineering disciplines (Structural, Piping, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
• Manage the technical interfaces between discipline engineering teams and the broader project organization, identifying, tracking, and resolving interface issues to prevent schedule delays and cost impacts.
• Support project management in planning, executing, and monitoring engineering activities, ensuring technical decisions align with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Oversee and participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical audits, ensuring all deliverables comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
• Act as the technical arbitrator when conflicts arise between disciplines regarding design scope or requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery of equipment and packages.
• Provide regular technical status reports to project management, highlighting risks, progress, and critical path items.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on offshore projects (FPSO experience highly preferred). At least 5 years of hands‑on technical experience as a Discipline Engineer.

Technical Skills: Strong background in Piping, Structural, or Process engineering. Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in technical coordination on FPSO projects, managing interfaces between discipline engineering and project management. Knowledge of detailed engineering processes, design reviews, and compliance with industry standards.

Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in project management or technical coordination, with strong planning, reporting, and risk management capabilities.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
