Job summary

Advanced Energy Management Limited in Malaysia is seeking a Component Engineer to drive component selection, AML integrity, and lifecycle risk management for EEE components across NPI and sustaining programs. You will ensure product reliability, compliance, and supply continuity.

You will select and evaluate components, maintain AML integrity, scrub BOMs for lifecycle risks, and collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to align with business goals and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics.
• Minimum 2 years as a component engineer.
• Experience in component engineering, electronics, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of EEE components and datasheet interpretation.
• Familiarity with AML management, lifecycle, and obsolescence processes.
• Experience in BOM analysis or scrubbing for risk identification.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, PCNs, and reliability data.
• Experience with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support risk mitigation strategies (multisource, last-time buys, redesigns).
• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards (e.g., RoHS, UL).
• Support NPI and provide component expertise across Engineering, Procurement, and Quality.
• Maintain accurate component data and documentation in PLM/ERP systems.
