Job summary

HCO Strategy is a fast-growing fintech lending company headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, seeking an experienced Collections Manager to lead end-to-end collections for SME borrowers. You will develop targeted recovery strategies, implement reminder systems, and collaborate with legal teams on enforcement when needed.

You will also mentor the collections and customer-support teams, monitor KPIs, and generate actionable reports for senior management and investors to drive risk-aware decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant collections experience in fintech or banking/loans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Degree/Diploma in relevant field.
• Proactive and innovative startup mindset; self-organized and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end collections process from early delinquencies to legal recoveries.
• Develop targeted collection strategies for SME borrowers based on risk segmentation.
• Implement structured reminder systems (calls, emails, SMS) to encourage timely payments.
• Provide financial counseling and restructuring options to support SME borrowers.
• Prioritize high-risk accounts and engage proactively to prevent defaults.
• Work with legal teams to initiate enforcement actions when necessary.
• Continuously improve processes to reduce collection costs and increase recovery efficiency.
• Track KPIs and generate reports for senior management and investors.
