Jora Malaysia is seeking a manufacturing technician to operate CNC grinding, polishing, and centering equipment for optical components. You will set up processes for existing and new parts and perform tool dressing and turning with intermediate troubleshooting.
You will conduct in-process lens inspections with profilometers, perform 2D measurements, and ensure surface quality meets production specs. Daily to monthly maintenance and adherence to 6S and safety standards are required; rotating

Execute lacquering, cementing, de-cementing, and cleaning of optical components.
Set up grinding and polishing processes for existing and new production parts.
Perform tool dressing and turning of grinding cutters, and machine troubleshooting at an intermediate level.
Conduct in-process geometric inspections of lenses using profilometers.
Perform 2D measurements and apply results to Optical CNC machines to improve form accuracy.
Inspect surface quality to meet production specifications.
Operate centering, grinding, polishing and CNC machines for optical production.
Maintain tooling, metrology equipment, and machinery in optimal working condition.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance.
Uphold workplace cleanliness and follow 6S and safety standards.
Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related engineering discipline, OR at least 2 years of CNC experience.
Proficiency in CNC grinding and polishing machines, with strong knowledge of optical manufacturing processes.
Familiar with precision measurement tools (profilometers, Form Talysurf, etc).
Good communication, teamwork skills, and basic understanding in English (oral & written).
Familiar with Excel and data collection; highly self-motivated.
Willing to work on rotating shifts (7.00am–3.30pm, 3.00pm–11.30pm, 11.00pm–7.30am)
