Job summary

Letromec Industries(Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable CNC Machine Setter to prepare, set up, and operate high-precision production equipment on a strict master schedule. You will troubleshoot issues, ensure parts meet tight tolerances, and guide operators on the shop floor.

You will reference engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools, while upholding ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards. Collaboration with programming and maintenance teams is essential to maintain safety,

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC production machinery in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality frameworks is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a CNC Machine Setter, you will prepare, set up, and operate advanced production machinery according to our master schedule. You will troubleshoot technical issues, ensure manufactured components meet strict tolerance levels, guide operators, and maintain an efficient, safe, and organized shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation: Set up machines accurately based on production schedules or direct requests from the Production Leader; run production independently to hit targeted output quantities.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform machine troubleshooting, basic repairs, and component replacements; complete Daily Checklists and Preventive Maintenance records consistently.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all finished parts meet strict dimensional requirements; strictly adhere to standard production guidelines and comply with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

Leadership & Collaboration: Monitor, guide, and support production operators in their daily routines; work closely with the programming team to retrieve/update CNC programs and manage tooling setups.

Documentation & Workplace Safety: Record output status and production data accurately upon job completion; enforce workplace safety protocols and maintain high standard shop-floor housekeeping.

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience setting up and operating CNC production machinery within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Solid understanding of engineering drawings, precision measuring instruments, and tight-tolerance quality standards.

Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality frameworks is highly preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance skills.

Team player with good communication skills and the ability to lead and guide production operators.
