Job summary

Weng Meng Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Banting, Selangor is seeking a CNC technician to develop and review work instructions, perform offline programming, and support ERP implementation.

The role emphasizes process improvement, layout updates, and KPI reporting. Candidate should hold a certificate or diploma in engineering, be proficient in English and Bahasa, and able to read drawings while using CAD/CAM tools.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English and Bahasa.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawing.
• Computer savy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• Good communication abilities.
• Working days & hours: Monday-Saturday (08.00am-04.30pm).
• Location: Banting, Selangor.
• 15 minutes from KLIA Airport.

Responsibilities

• Work Instruction: To develop / review work instructions for CNC current process, new process and new machine.
• Kaizen Activities: To contribute Kaizen idea’s for CNC process / production towards Departmental objective.
• CNC Machine Offline Programming: To liaise with Planning and Production Department, for all CNC machine program preparation before production starts.
• CNC Process / Production Layout: To update and maintain CNC process / production area layout when necessary.
• CNC Process Time – Study: To conduct process cycle time, to review, update and maintain the record when there is any changes in CNC current process or when introducing new machine or process.
• CNC Pilot – Run: Plan and prepare pilot run form for new CNC machine commissioning or in the event upgrading activities.
• CNC Process Flow Mapping: To coordinate, update and maintain as needed.
• CNC Monthly KPI Reporting: To prepare monthly report & submit to superior for every 4th day of the month for verification and compilation.
• CNC ERP System Implementation: Supporting in the implementation of ERP system.
• Training: To conduct CNC training in the event of changes in process, new process or new workers introduction and new machine installation and commissioning.
• Record Keeping: Activity of organizing and storing all the documents related to CNC production.

To develop / review work instructions for CNC current process, new process and new machine.

CNC Machine Offline Programming
To liaise with Planning and Production Department, for all CNC machine program preparation before production starts.
To receive hardcopy of Precut from PPC, to draw into B Solid / Alpha and convert the drawing into machine program.
Master Hardware and drawing issuance, record and control for production use. To draw glass template and prepare for fabrication job with CNC machine.
Jig and mold drawing for fabrication job. Essepigi (Rapid and Horizon) CNC program preparation.
To draw frame / architrave template (machine over) for paint shop.

CNC Process / Production Layout
To update and maintain CNC process / production area layout when necessary.
To draw isometric (3D) precut drawing for sales department / production in necessary.

CNC Process Time – Study
To conduct process cycle time, to review, update and maintain the record when there is any changes in CNC current process or when introducing new machine or process.

CNC Pilot – Run
Plan and prepare pilot run form for new CNC machine commissioning or in the event upgrading activities. Conduct meeting with relevant department to complete the task until handing over the machine to production.

CNC Process Flow Mapping
To coordinate, update and maintain as needed.

CNC Monthly KPI Reporting
To prepare monthly report & submit to superior for every 4th day of the month for verification and compilation.

CNC ERP System Implementation
Supporting in the implementation of ERP system.

Training
To conduct CNC training in the event of changes in process, new process or new workers introduction and new machine installation and commissioning.
Record Keeping
Activity of organizing and storing all the documents related to CNC production.
Where necessary, it is required to perform other tasks as stipulated by the top management and Department Head.
