Job summary

SAMEE Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair of CNC machines and production equipment. This role requires a Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years in a CNC maintenance environment.

You will diagnose machine faults and implement corrective actions, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, read schematics, and support continuous improvement to enhance reliability,

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance.
Knowledge of CNC controllers such as Siemens, Fanuc, and Heidenhain.
Good understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC, Star-Delta, PLC), mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the CNC machining industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repair of CNC machines and production equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize machine downtime.
Diagnose machine faults and implement effective corrective actions to ensure smooth production operations.
Develop, review, and improve maintenance procedures to enhance equipment reliability.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure machines, tools, and equipment are safe and operating efficiently.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety and health standards.
Coach and support maintenance technicians to strengthen technical skills and performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
