Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a CNC Operator to follow drawings and specs, set up machines, and ensure quality in production. You will edit CNC programs, troubleshoot alarms, and liaise with engineers to resolve issues, while adhering to the quality system documentation.

With at least 1 year in a related field and SPM or equivalent, you’ll contribute to maintaining production standards and operating CNC machines under supervision when needed.

Qualifications

• Possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1 year working experience in the related field.
• Must be able to operate CNC machine with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, specs, BOMs and procedures to assemble equipment.
• Feedback abnormalities during setup to Milling Executive.
• Assist in setting up machines for operators.
• Understand and apply documentation in the quality system.
• Edit and write CNC programs as needed and interpret codes.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications and ensure quality.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor alarms.
• Adjust machines to required standards and coordinate with engineers to resolve issues.

• Responsible to follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Feedback any abnormality appeared during the setup to the Milling Executive
• Responsible to assist in setting up machine for operators
• Understand the various level of documentation in the company’s quality system and its application
• Understands, interprets and write/edit basic codes/programs as needed
• Understands and able to perform tool wear offsets
• Responsible to deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
• Responsible to inspect all the parts/products and ensure compliance to all the specification
• Performs basic preventive maintenance for the machine, able to identify and troubleshoot minor alarm/error codes in the machine
• Adjust machines as per requirement and ensure quality in all production processes and manage all communication with engineers and supervisors and resolve issues for quality
• Provide an effective interface with manufacturing engineering team and design all specifications for products and perform troubleshoot to resolve all quality issues
• Analyze all engineering drawings and specifications and perform work according to geometric dimensions and generate all CNC codes with help of all software
• Administer and perform all editing on all CNC programs and identify all errors and determine all tools and fixtures for all parts
• To undertake other duties assigned or directed by the Milling Executive from time to time
