Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Machinist with CNC machining certification to join our manufacturing team in Malaysia. The role involves performing machining operations, interpreting blueprints, and programming components on machines using provided information.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or the oil & gas sector, with a strong focus on quality and safety. The position includes standard benefits and opportunities for skill development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CNC machining certificate as listed.
• Vocational certificate in machining is required for consideration.
• Experience in manufacturing or oil & gas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform machining operations in accordance to work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure correct parts.
• Program components on machine using provided information.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with tooling or material matters as needed.
• Ensure all safety, health, and environmental regulations are followed.

Requirement

• Certificate in CNC machining
• High School Vocational Certificate (Machining)
• 2-3 years in manufacturing / oil & gas industry

Responsibility

• Perform machining operations in accordance to work instructions
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make the necessary adjustments to correct the fault or malfunction
• Produce required products in accordance to given specifications with a sense of quality ownership
• Program components on machine using information provided
• Save all the programs and set up sheets after every job
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ensure quality of parts is to standard requirements
• Maintain and secure work tools
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
• Maintain good housekeeping rules and regulations
• Assist Supervisor with any tooling or material matters
• Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, security and environmental regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities
