Job summary

Pivotal Systems – Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design CNC jigs and fixtures for high-precision machining. You will review drawings, collaborate with CNC programming teams, and optimize fixtures to improve productivity and quality.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in CNC/manufacturing, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/ZW3D), and a solid grasp of GD&T. This role requires independent work and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in CNC machining/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in NPI/product engineering is an added advantage.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/ZW3D).
• Strong understanding of CNC processes, tooling, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CNC jigs and fixtures for machining processes.
• Review drawings and requirements to create fixturing solutions.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and production to meet process needs.
• Improve fixtures to boost productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new product introductions (NPI).
• Support troubleshooting of fixture-related machining issues.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and ergonomic standards.
• Prepare drawings, BOM, and fabrication/assembly documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for fixture fabrication and maintenance.
• Monitor fixture performance and drive maintenance plans.
• Drive cost reduction through design optimization and standardization.
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
