Job summary

Businesslist in Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC Engineer/Technician to manage 5S in the department and develop CNC programs from drawings. The role requires hands-on experience with FANUC controllers, SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and 5-axis machining knowledge. You will collaborate with Engineering & Quality Assurance to improve productivity.

The position is permanent with day or night shifts and OT on Saturdays; five-day workweek with regional ISO compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC engineering/technician experience.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of FANUC controllers and CNC programming needed.

Job description

CNC Engineer/ Technician

Location: Kajang, Selangor

Type: Permanent

Work schedule: 5 days per week including OT on Saturday; willing to work day or night shift.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Manage 5S activity in the department.
• Good understanding of tooling and machining processes and proficiency with FANUC controllers.
• Proficient in engineering drawing / SolidWorks / AutoCAD.
• Knowledge in 3-axis and 4/5-axis CNC machines is an added advantage.
• Create programs for CNC machining according to provided drawings.
• Work closely with Engineering & Quality Assurance to enhance quality and productivity.
• Design machining processes by studying customer requirements, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, and machining parameters.
• Support first run and startup of CNC programs.
• Assist and supervise troubleshooting of program errors.
• Monitor machining times and optimize through new techniques and methods.
• Coordinate with the CNC Supervisor in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff to enhance competency, performance, and skill development.
• Maintain and apply ISO knowledge, including proper documentation control and compliance with company procedures and standards.

Minimum Experience: 5 years.
