Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a cloud-focused administrator to join our global team in Malaysia. The role covers AWS cloud platform administration, IaC with Terraform, cloud operations and monitoring, Windows and Linux administration, security operations, and disaster recovery support.

You will work closely with colleagues to optimize performance, reliability, and security of production environments. Ideal candidates have hands-on AWS experience, Terraform expertise, strong OS knowledge, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Systems / Compute Science.
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
• Experience working within Managed Services or IT Operations teams.
• ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Platform Administration: Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• IaC: Deploy, modify, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Cloud Operations & Monitoring: Monitor AWS workloads with CloudWatch and resolve incidents.
• Windows & Linux Administration: Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Security Operations: Configure and manage Security Groups, Network ACLs, IAM.
• Disaster Recovery & Deployment Support: Support backup, restore, DR drills and production releases.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Administration

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and services including: EC2 EKS Application Load Balancer (ALB) VPC Auto Scaling Groups
• Perform cloud resource provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
• Manage storage services, snapshots, backups, and recovery activities.
• Support cloud infrastructure optimization, scaling, and performance improvements.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Deploy, modify, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Troubleshoot Terraform deployment and configuration issues.
• Manage infrastructure lifecycle through reusable Terraform modules and templates.
• Ensure infrastructure consistency and compliance through IaC best practices.

Cloud Operations & Monitoring

• Monitor AWS workloads using CloudWatch and other operational tools.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and alerts.
• Analyze cloud and operating system logs to identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot performance issues involving: CPU Memory Storage Network connectivity
• Provide recommendations for resource optimization and cost efficiency.

Windows & Linux Administration

• Administer and support Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Perform server provisioning, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support application deployments and infrastructure changes.
• Conduct system performance tuning and health checks.

Security Operations

• Configure and manage: Security Groups Network ACLs IAM roles and permissions
• Monitor security findings and support remediation activities.
• Work with AWS security services such as: GuardDuty Security Hub Firewall and network security controls

Disaster Recovery & Deployment Support

• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Participate in DR drills and failover validation exercises.
• Support production releases and deployment activities.
• Verify system and application stability post-deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

AWS Cloud Services

• Strong hands-on experience with: EC2 EKS VPC ALB CloudWatch Auto Scaling Storage and Snapshot Management

Terraform

• Proven experience deploying and managing AWS resources using Terraform.
• Strong understanding of Terraform modules, state management, and dependency management.
• Experience troubleshooting Infrastructure as Code deployments.

Operating Systems

• Strong administration skills in: Windows Server Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
• Knowledge of system performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• CloudWatch monitoring and alert management.
• Log analysis and incident investigation.
• Performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Networking fundamentals including routing and connectivity troubleshooting.

Security

• Security Groups and Network ACLs.
• Basic IAM administration.
• AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub).
• Operational security best practices.

Disaster Recovery

• Backup and restore processes.
• Failover validation and DR testing.
• Production deployment support.

Preferred Qualifications
