Job summary

Vanguard Aesthetics is seeking a Clinical Specialist to train healthcare professionals on aesthetic devices, operate equipment during sessions, and provide ongoing customer support. You will work with sales teams for demonstrations, participate in industry events, and contribute clinical insights for product improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in science or clinically-based studies, with experience in clinical training within medical devices or pharma, and must be comfortable

Responsibilities

Clinical Specialist (Aesthetics Medical Device)

Reporting to Regional Head of Medical Affairs as the Clinical Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for conducting training sessions, operating aesthetic medical devices, providing sales support, offering customer support, and assisting in clinical research related to medical devices.

Key responsibilities

Conduct training sessions for healthcare professionals, nurses, aestheticians, or other medical staff on how to use various aesthetic medical devices safely and effectively, including both theoretical knowledge and hands‑on practice

Operate aesthetic medical devices during training sessions to demonstrate proper usage techniques and provide hands‑on guidance to clients

Directly apply treatments to subject as part of a demonstration or training module

Work closely with sales teams to provide demonstrations and technical knowledge that can assist in the sales process

Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to showcase and demonstrate medical devices

Provide insights to sales and marketing teams on the competitive landscape and potential improvements for the device

Offer ongoing support to customers (medical practices and professionals) who have purchased the devices, including troubleshooting and addressing any usage concerns

Gather feedback from users to provide to the manufacturing or development team for potential improvements

Stay informed about clinical findings and integrate this knowledge into training programs

About you

Possess minimum diploma in science or in a clinically-based subject or equivalents

Experience in a clinical training or clinical specialist role within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry, ideally in aesthetics

Proficiency in facilitation, training, coaching, event management, and the preparation and delivery of workshops and training solutions is and added advantage

Proven experience in delivering group training sessions is and added advantage

Growth mindset, adaptable and resilient

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving under pressure

Must be able to travel
