Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Nurse Educator to coach, educate and supervise nursing staff, ensuring nursing practice aligns with policy standards.

The role involves developing training programs, supervising care delivery, and leading BS/NRP/ACLS instruction according to AHA guidelines in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Relevant post basic certificate/advance diploma for specialized nursing areas.
• Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Minimum 5 years and above of clinical/ nursing experience in related fields.
• Supervisory experience is an added advantage.
• Previous track record demonstrating compliance and high concern for quality to safeguard the standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Close and constant supervision of nursing staff.
• Develop, implement and monitor process improvement initiatives to enhance competency and efficiency of nursing staff.
• Work as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
• Maintaining sterility of equipment and supplies, use of disinfectant as per infection control guidelines.
• Ensure sufficient CPD points for nurses through regular in service programs.
• Assist in conducting nursing audits to ascertain training needs for nurses.
• Conducts regular bedside clinical teaching for nursing staff.
• Assist in teaching BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS as per latest AHA guidelines.
• Conduct regular emergency response drills in designated supervise areas.
• Participate in other activities as and when assigned by Nurse Educators/ Nurse Practitioners/ Senior Manager/ Division Head
• Participate in job related training and company internal programs as well as external programs identified by HOD/ Director to upgrade own knowledge and skills.
