Job summary

HireHub clients a healthcare and wellness centre focused on healthy ageing and wellbeing. The team supports clinical and administrative tasks, including registration, vital signs, specimen handling and coordination with external labs.

Experience in a clinic, laboratory or health screening setting is preferred; Mandarin is an advantage. Roles involve six-day rotating shifts, with weekends, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Training is provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have relevant healthcare qualification for the position.
  • MLT candidates must have recognised MLT qualification and registration under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016.
  • Clinic Assistant candidates should have a healthcare certificate or diploma.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate; able to perform routine work with precision.
  • Able to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks; good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with registration, ID verification, forms and pre-consultation prep.
  • Record vital signs and basic health measurements accurately.
  • Support blood collection and specimen handling within scope of practice.
  • Label, document, store and transport specimens correctly, including temperature-sensitive samples.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories on test requests, turnarounds and results.
  • Monitor test results and promptly forward completed results to the attending doctor.
  • Prepare, clean and reset consultation and treatment rooms; manage equipment and supplies.
  • Assist doctors and nurses during procedures as needed.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, quality control and calibration records for point-of-care devices.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and system entries.
  • Follow hygiene, infection control and waste disposal procedures.
  • Coordinate with front desk for smooth client movement and room utilisation.
  • Support offsite health screenings and corporate health events.
  • Assist with stock counts, audits and inspection preparation.
  • Contribute to internal reporting with screening volume and lab turnaround data.

Job Requirements
Essential
  • Relevant healthcare qualification appropriate to the position.
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist candidates should have a recognised MLT qualification and applicable registration under the Allied Health Professions Act 2016.
  • Clinic Assistant candidates should have a relevant healthcare certificate or diploma.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate and comfortable performing routine work requiring precision.
  • Able to manage multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to work a six-day rotating schedule, including weekends.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a clinic, laboratory or health screening environment.
  • Phlebotomy experience and relevant certification.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems or electronic medical records.
  • Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage.

  • Prepare, clean and reset consultation and treatment rooms, including equipment and clinical supplies.
  • Assist doctors and nurses during procedures where appropriate.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks, quality control and calibration records for point-of-care devices.
  • Monitor clinical supplies and reagents, including stock levels, expiry dates and stock rotation.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, documentation and system entries.
  • Follow strict hygiene, infection control, sharps disposal and clinical waste procedures.
  • Coordinate with the front desk to ensure smooth client movement and efficient room utilisation.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support offsite health screenings and corporate health events.
  • Assist with implementation and validation of new point-of-care equipment.
  • Provide front desk registration support during busy periods.
  • Assist with stock counts, audits and inspection preparation.
  • Support internal reporting by compiling screening volume and laboratory turnaround data.
