Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a dedicated cleaner to maintain cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping within cleanroom and controlled production areas. You will ensure a contamination-controlled environment meeting company and customer requirements.

The role involves daily cleaning, following SOPs, using approved chemicals, PPE, and proper waste handling in a precision manufacturing setting. The contract is fixed-term for 6 months with potential permanent conversion.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Secondary School or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cleanroom cleaning, manufacturing, or chemical-processing environments is an advantage.
• Able to work in a controlled/cleanroom environment.
• Physically fit for repetitive cleaning activities.
• Able to follow written work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping activities inside cleanroom and controlled areas.
• Clean floors, walls, ceilings, workstations, equipment surfaces, doors, windows, and other designated areas.
• Follow established cleanroom cleaning procedures, schedules, and work instructions.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, tools, and equipment according to procedures.
• Ensure cleaning tools and materials are properly identified, stored, and maintained.
• Minimize dust, particles, and contamination during cleaning activities.
• Wear the required cleanroom gowning and PPE at all times.
• Follow proper cleanroom entry, exit, gowning, and de-gowning procedures.
• Dispose of waste and contaminated materials according to company procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards in production and support areas.
• Report any abnormal conditions, spills, damaged facilities, or cleanliness issues to the supervisor.
• Support routine cleaning activities during production, shutdown, and maintenance periods.
• Maintain cleaning records, checklists, and other required documentation accurately.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition and report any defects immediately.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and cleanroom standards.
• Support 5S activities and maintain good housekeeping within the Surface Treatment area.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
