Job summary

Port of Tanjung Pelepas invites a Civil Maintenance Coordinator to supervise and monitor civil maintenance works within the PTP area, including infrastructure upkeep, remedial, refurbishment and upgrading tasks.

The role requires preparing monthly inspection reports, coordinating in-house maintenance, evaluating repairs, attending site meetings and ensuring adherence to HSSE policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in engineering field; infrastructure maintenance/ construction is an advantage.
• Able to provide cost estimates for work including data collection and sketches.
• Able to monitor and inspect works and assess results.
• Review drawings and specifications for construction works and repairs.
• Prepare site visit reports, surveys or field inspections.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to work independently.
• Good communication and English writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor maintenance, remedial, upgrading and renovation works carried out by the Contractor at PTP Area.
• Prepare monthly inspection reports based on checklist planning.
• Coordinate and carry out in-house maintenance and minor repairs.
• Evaluate, assist and monitor repair works requested by other sections or stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings and provide information required for the meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures during work execution.
• Assist Superior in ensuring all Contractors comply with PTP HSSE regulation.
• Attend trainings as conducted by the company.
• Execute duties directed by superior from time to time.

Job Description

• Responsible to supervise and monitor of all the maintenance, remedial, upgrading and renovation works carry out by the Contractor at PTP Area.
• To prepare monthly inspection report based on checklist planning.
• To coordinate and carry out in-house maintenance and repair minor works.
• To evaluate, assist and monitor any repair works requested by other section or stakeholder
• To attend any site meeting and provide the information required for the meeting
• To ensure the compliance with all company policies and procedure during work execution

REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Civil Engineering, other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year experience in engineering field (Experience in infrastructure maintenance/ construction is advantage)
• Able to provide cost estimates for work including taking data, prepare sketches and diagrams
• Able to carry-out monitoring and inspection of works and provide an assessment of the works
• Review drawings and specifications pertaining to construction works and repairs
• Prepare reports from site visit , surveys or field inspection
• Analytical with great problem-solving skills and able to work independently
• Possess good communication and English writing skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency with MS Office
