Job summary

Asia Infrastructure Solutions Limited (AIS) Malaysia is seeking a Technical Director / Associate Director, Civil to lead civil engineering design, coordination, and delivery across major infrastructure projects.

You will drive technical quality, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of design standards, codes and best practices.
• Hands-on experience in roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage and utilities.
• Familiarity with authority submission processes and regulatory coordination.
• Experience in BIM delivery and willingness to embrace digital innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design and project execution activities.
• Oversee planning, design review and technical coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and timelines.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support business development activities and technical presentations.
