Job summary

Milieu Solar Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a civil/structural engineer to design and assess solar PV installations across rooftop and ground-mounted systems.

You will prepare calculations, drawings and technical docs for project execution and authority submissions. Responsibilities include reviewing M&E, civil and structural drawings for proper integration with site conditions, and coordinating with design, project, electrical, procurement and construction teams to ensure practical, cost-effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in civil/structural engineering.
• 1+ year experience in civil/structural engineering or renewable projects.
• Experience in structural analysis and foundation design.
• Experience in solar/renewable energy industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural design and assessment for solar PV projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specs, reports and tender doc inputs.
• Design and review mounting structures, foundations and anchoring systems.
• Review drawings to ensure integration with existing structures.

Job description

JOB SCOPE:

Perform civil and structural engineering design and assessment for solar PV projects, including rooftop, ground-mounted and other solar installation systems.

Prepare structural calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documents required for project execution and authority submissions.

Design and review structural systems for solar PV mounting structures, including steel structures, support frames, foundations, anchoring systems and related components.

Review architectural, civil, structural and M&E drawings to ensure proper integration of solar PV systems with existing structures and site conditions.

Coordinate with the Design Engineering, Project, Electrical, Procurement and Construction teams to ensure C&S designs are practical, cost-effective and aligned with project requirements.

Review engineering drawings, calculations, shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions prepared by contractors, consultants and suppliers.

Assist in the preparation of tender and bidding documents, including technical specifications, BOQs, engineering inputs and cost estimates where required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.

Preferably 1 year or more of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, construction, solar PV or renewable energy projects.

Experience in structural analysis, steel structures, reinforced concrete structures and foundation design will be an advantage.

Proficient in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, Tekla Structures or equivalent structural engineering software.

Registered with BEM or eligible for professional registration will be an added advantage.

Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry will be an added advantage.
