Job summary

Horizon Construction Overseas (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Petaling is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to civil and infrastructure design, calculations, and coordination with clients and authorities. A minimum of 2 years of design experience and strong AutoCAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in infrastructure, housing development, or land development projects.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian engineering codes, local authority regulations, submission procedures, and industry standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil, or other engineering design software will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication, coordination, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering design drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications for infrastructure, housing developments, master planning, and feasibility studies.
• Carry out detailed civil and infrastructure design, analysis, and engineering calculations.
• Perform site investigations, inspections, and provide technical solutions to resolve construction and site-related issues.
• Attend project coordination, planning, and progress meetings, and provide construction supervision when required.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers regarding design, approvals, and technical matters.
• Prepare and submit engineering documents to relevant authorities and ensure timely approvals.
• Ensure all designs comply with local authority requirements, engineering standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support project execution from design development through construction completion.
