Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced CSA/Construction Engineer to join our engineering team for an upcoming project. You will supervise CSA works, review drawings, and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities include site supervision, RFI coordination, progress reporting, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, schedule and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in CSA works.
• Experience in construction and engineering projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of civil and structural construction, architectural works, drawings and specs.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, shop drawings and technical documents.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate CSA works at the project site.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, subcontractors and project teams for CSA/Construction works.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works follow approved drawings, specs, schedule and quality requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues at site with relevant parties.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety and project standards.
• Coordinate RFI, shop drawings, material submissions, inspections and technical documentation.
• Monitor manpower, materials and activities to support the project schedule.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports, site records and relevant documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.
• Liaise with Client, Consultant, Main Contractor and Subcontractors for effective coordination.
• Support the Project Manager / Construction Manager in delivering CSA works.

JOB SCOPE

• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to the approved drawings, project specifications, schedule and quality requirements.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure completed works comply with the required quality, safety and project standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) works.
• Experience in construction and engineering projects will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Civil & Structural construction works, architectural works, drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, shop drawings and technical documents.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and other relevant engineering software.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
