Principle Perspective Engineering – Nusajaya, Johor
Important:This is aproject-based role. Candidates must be willing to relocate to project sites across Malaysia based on operational and project requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Able to speak in English
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on site experience in CSA works for industrial construction projects.
- Prior experience with main contractors, including involvement in site operations, technical detailing, and drawing coordination.
Technical Competencies
- Strong skills in interpreting and resolving CSA construction drawings.
- Experience handling material submissions, RFIs (Request for Information), and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) documentation.
- Familiar with construction sequencing, on-site problem-solving, and practical buildability considerations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with competency in project documentation tools.
Soft Skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and solution-driven mindset.
- Clear communication skills to support effective cross-functional coordination (e.g., with M&E, consultants, and subcontractors).
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing workloads independently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and practical judgment based on real-world site conditions.

Responsibility
- On-Site Supervision – Supervise daily CSA works, workmanship, work sequence, and compliance with approved drawings and method statements.
- Work Instructions – Brief subcontractors and workers on scope, work methods, quality requirements, tolerances, and safety controls before activities commence.
- Drawing Management – Ensure the latest IFC drawings are properly distributed and superseded revisions are removed from site.
- RFI & Technical Coordination – Raise and track RFIs for unclear or conflicting information and coordinate with HQ engineering/consultants for timely resolution.
- Buildability & As-Built – Identify design/buildability issues early and progressively update as-built information throughout construction.
- Material Approval & Delivery – Prepare material submissions, track consultant/client approvals, coordinate delivery schedules, and monitor lead-time risks.
- Material Inspection – Inspect delivered materials for quantity, specification, quality, and condition, and reject non-conforming materials.
- QA/QC & ITP – Conduct inspections in accordance with approved ITPs and ensure all required inspection records and sign-offs are properly completed.
- NCR Management – Raise NCRs for non-conforming works/materials and monitor corrective actions through to verified closure.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting – Monitor and record daily CSA progress, identify programme variances, and report recovery actions to the Project Manager and Scheduler.
- Site Documentation – Maintain accurate site diaries, manpower and plant records, activity status, as-built dates, and other required project records.
- Safety Compliance – Ensure CSA works comply with safety plans, risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox requirements, and stop/escalate unsafe work immediately.
