Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Corporation – Selangor is seeking a design-focused professional to oversee design progress, supervise staff, and ensure on-time completion of project design work.

The role requires strong planning skills, knowledge of construction procedures, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Fresh graduates are welcome, with 1–3 years of experience preferred. Based in Selangor, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficient in planning software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Knowledge of construction procedures and standards.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; adaptable to construction site work.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is an added advantage for coordination with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor the progress and objectives of the design work, supervising design staff, and ensuring timely completion.
• Review design plans to meet project requirements, laws, regulations, and standards.
• Coordinate communication between design and other project departments; resolve design issues promptly.
• Monitor design changes during construction; control costs and impacts on progress and quality.
• Organize preparation and review of design documents (construction drawings, bills of quantities, material specs).
• Establish and improve design standards, regulations, systems, and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate construction plans and requirements.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and coordinate design plans.
• Provide administrative support to the project management team as needed.
