Job summary

YTL Construction is seeking an Engineer (C&S) to assist in the design and build of civil and structural works on site. You will execute and supervise construction activities, ensure adherence to specifications, budgets and timelines, and support the team with analyses and BIM tasks.

The role suits fresh graduates with a degree in civil/structural engineering and registration with BEM. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other equivalent fields.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Fresh graduates/Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of design, construction and building systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Support design, calculations, testing for assigned tasks.
• Supervise drawings produced by the draughtsman.
• Assist senior team with analyses, designs and computations.
• Prepare specifications, proposals and other documents under supervision.
• Submit high-quality work including letters, reports and presentations.
• Provide information in an organized, timely manner.
• Complete BIM model training.
• Ensure project compliance with safety, health and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure designs comply with standard codes of practice.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Engineer (C&S) is responsible for supporting the design and build of civil and structural works. Ultimately, you will be executing and supervising the implementation of civil and structural works at site to ensure the adherence to the required specifications, budget goals and timeline.

• Perform engineering design, calculation, testing and validation to support assigned tasks.
• Supervise and review designed drawings produced by the draughtsman.
• Assist senior team members with the related analyses, designs and computations.
• Assist with the preparation of specifications, proposals and other documentations under close supervision along with applying a variety of standard methods and techniques in solving problems to complete the tasks.
• Accountable for submitting a high quality of work accurately including of routine letters, reports, standard documentation, presentations, etc.
• Accountable for providing all information in an organized manner within the agreed timeframe.
• Complete the BIM model training.
• Ensure project comply with the standard safety, health and environmental guidelines as established by the authority.
• Ensure the designs are in compliance with the standard code of practice.
• Ensure BIM model achieves minimum accuracy for quantity take-off.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and/or the management.
