Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Kulim (Malaysia) is seeking a Project Manager for Chip Development to steer multi-disciplinary teams on Si/SiC power semiconductor projects that advance energy efficiency across applications. You will manage end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinate a diverse team, communicate with leadership, and define experiments and specs for factory-scale fabs.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, semiconductor physics, general physics or Microelectronics; PhD a plus.
• At least 5 years in semiconductor chip technology; 3 years in project management, or 3–5 years PM with strong chip background.
• Experience in managing (sub-)projects.
• Solid understanding of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development and manufacturing.
• Ability to structure problems, anticipate issues, and make well-reasoned decisions.
• Ability to distill relevant information for technical or leadership audiences.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Strong English; Mandarin speaker due to interaction with Greater China.
• Self-driven, outspoken personality.
• Willing to work in Kulim or Penang.

Responsibilities

• Develop Si and SiC power semiconductor chip technologies to improve energy efficiency across applications.
• Manage projects from start to finish: objectives, schedules, and risk response.
• Coordinate multi-cultural team and keep progress updates to drive alignment.
• Represent team and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain chip technology specifications meeting future efficiency requirements.
• Define design and process experiments, analyze data, verify samples, and report results.
• Address deviations and drive cross-functional issue resolution.
• Explore new concepts and develop innovative power semiconductor solutions.
