Job summary

HETRONIKS SDN. BHD. is seeking a refrigeration technician to install, service and maintain cooling systems at client sites in Penang, Malaysia.

You will diagnose faults, perform overhauls and component replacements, and document each service with clear reports. Independent field work and teamwork in outdoor conditions are required, with strong safety discipline and English communication.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum engineering technical certificate.
• Able to work independently in outdoor work conditions.
• Able to work independently and also in a group, easy going person.
• Job required heavy lifting, climbing, and handling of materials.
• Able to speak and write English.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in refrigeration / air-con system
• Understanding of basic principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
• Possess good troubleshooting skills in air-con is an advantage.
• Hot work brazing experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintenance, commission, troubleshoot, retrofit of cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot systems to determine causes of operating errors and rectifying the problems.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and replace worn & defective sub assembly.
• Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming.
• Install expansion and control valves, compressor, condenser, and other refrigeration parts.
• Perform troubleshoot, repair and maintenance on malfunction cooling systems.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
• Prepare service reports after every completed job.
• Keep record & documentation of repairs.
• Communicate with clients with regards to problems in equipment and post-job reports.

Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with safety procedures.

Ensure safe keeping of hand tools, power tools and maintain good housekeeping.

Prepare service reports after every completed job.

Keep record & documentation of repairs.

Collect, deliver and install materials and supplies as and when required.

Communicate with clients with regards to problems in equipment and post-job reports.

Ad-hoc & other duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements
