JOB SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Chiller Plant Design Engineer to support project evaluation, system design, and execution across cooling system projects. The role involves working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to develop system improvement plans, assess energy efficiency, and support project delivery.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Project evaluation and closure
• Build understanding of customer's cooling system by carrying out site assessment and meetings
• Decide technical scope of parties based on site assessment and discussion with the customer
• Develop system improvement plan with tentative project costing
• Assess potential for energy savings in the system improvement plan
• Build rapport with the customer and support Business Development team in finalising customer proposal
• Build rapport with OEMs/ EPCs/ suppliers to build understanding of products, supplier ecosystem and pricing
• Support BD team in closing contracts with customers, suppliers, OEMs, service providers etc.
• Develop and continuously improve internal tools for technical standards, performance assessment, project costing etc.

Sales and Marketing

• Support marketing team by providing relevant technical expertise to establish presence in Energy As A Service domain
• Represent at conferences, seminars, LinkedIn, webinars etc.
• Provide technical training to Sales team
• Build and maintain relationship with OEMs/ EPCs/ Auditors and other vendors

Project Execution Support

• Review and approve detailed engineering deliverables
• Support project team in resolving engineering challenges
• Carry out technical evaluation of vendor offers
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests
• Support testing and commissioning
• Review construction Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Participate in client technical discussions

Operations Support

• Support operations team in customer meetings
• Support discussion with OEMs/vendors
• Analyse data and performance of chiller plants
• Improve best practices for plant operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong technical knowledge of cooling systems (Chillers, Pumps, Cooling towers, AHUs, Piping & Ducting)
• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in chiller plant design, optimisation, and procurement
• Good understanding of ASHRAE / AHRI standards
• Ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
• Open minded, agile, dynamic, and flexible
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia
