Occupational Therapist cum Preschool / EIP Teacher
ORION Childcare Centre & Preschool – Cyberjaya
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Salary: RM3,000 – RM4,000 per month
About ORION
ORION is an integrated childcare centre, preschool and healthcare ecosystem in Cyberjaya, supported by ORION Clinic.
We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for typically developing children as well as children with additional developmental needs. We are expanding our Early Intervention Programme (EIP) and Occupational Therapy (OT) services and are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team.
This is a hybrid OT + EIP + preschool teaching position, allowing the therapist to work with children within their everyday classroom, social and learning environment.
Job ResponsibilitiesOccupational Therapy & EIP
- Conduct 1-to-1 and small-group OT/EIP sessions for children with special needs.
- Conduct appropriate developmental and OT assessments.
- Develop Individualised Education/Intervention Plans (IEP) and therapy goals for each child.
- Prepare and implement EIP lesson plans and Advanced EIP where required.
- Provide intervention for sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, attention, school readiness, social skills, behaviour and activities of daily living.
- Incorporate appropriate positive behaviour management and ABA-based strategies where indicated.
- Integrate therapeutic goals into the child's daily preschool routine.
- Monitor progress and prepare monthly progress reports and periodic comprehensive reports.
- Communicate progress, goals and home strategies with parents.
- Manage a small class of approximately 6–8 children.
- Prepare and conduct preschool lesson plans and learning activities.
- Conduct circle time, play, art, sensory and developmental activities.
- Adapt classroom activities according to individual children's developmental needs.
- Support children's social interaction, behaviour, independence and daily routines.
- Work closely with preschool teachers and management to provide an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with children's personal care and toileting when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; 1 year or more paediatric/special-needs experience is preferred.
- Experience with ASD, ADHD, developmental delay, sensory difficulties or learning difficulties is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with both typically developing and special-needs children.
- Able to conduct individual and group therapy.
- Able to prepare IEPs, lesson plans and progress reports.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Patient, nurturing, responsible and able to manage a small classroom independently.
- Good communication skills and comfortable communicating with parents.
- Willing to learn and work collaboratively with teachers and the ORION team.
Working Arrangement
5 days per week – Monday to Friday
Saturday & Sunday: Off
