Job summary

Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad seeks a senior strategist to lead development and execution of the company’s corporate strategy and oversee performance, governance, and communications. The role drives enterprise alignment, decision-making, and value creation in support of MDV’s mandate.

The position requires extensive leadership experience in banking/finance-related environments, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, business transformation or corporate development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong strategic leadership and execution skills with ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to evaluate opportunities and long-term value creation.
• Experience in governance and decision-making within regulated/government-linked environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of MDV’s annual and long-term corporate strategies and KPIs.
• Manage Corporate Strategy Division with clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Oversee enterprise business-process management framework and drive process standardization and improvement.
• Oversee MDV’s public relations, corporate communications, and brand messaging.
• Lead design and development of new programmes and financing initiatives to support mandate and sustainability.
• Coordinate strategic engagement with shareholders, government stakeholders, partners and other parties.
